St. Andrews State Recreation Park and Recreation Area

The popular St. Andrews State Park and Recreation area offers camping, biking, fishing,boating, swimming, diving, and surfing. Campers and visitors will find a store, a playground, restrooms, showers, picnic areas.

Located at the far east end of Thomas Drive. The 1,260 acres provide visitors great swimming in warm Gulf waters. The shallow protected area behind the jetty is perfect swim area for small children. Enjoy fishing, snorkeling and diving spots. A boat ramp provides access to the Gulf. The park opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes at sunset year around.


St. Andrews State Park's Shell Island
Take the Shell Island Shuttle and watch Bottle-nosed dolphins frolic in the sparking emerald waters off Shell Island. Step back in time and discover the pristine beauty of Shell Island. Shell Island is home to abundant wildlife including the ever smiling bottle-nosed dolphins. Fishing boats, pontoon boats, and kayak rentals are available.Facilities or concessions are not available on Shell Island, but are available at St. Andrew's State Park.
Coolers are welcome.

The Shuttle departs every 1/2 hour, 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Camp Helen State Park
Camp Helen State Park (off Highway 98 and west of Phillips Inlet Bridge) is one newest additions in Florida's reclamation and preservation program. Bordered by Lake Powell, Phillips Inlet, and the Gulf of Mexico, the park draws locals and eco-tourists. Spend a day hiking, picnicking, fishing,
boating and swimming.


Gulf World Marine Park

Gulf World Marine Park is a Panama City Beach institution. One of Florida's top Marine attractions where fun and education mix. Gulf World features five shows and an exciting nighttime laser light show.

The Ray petting pool is always popular with children. Sleek beautiful rays glide close to the surface of the water allowing children to touch them. Gulf World's bottle-nosed dolphins thrill children and adults in scheduled performances throughout the day. Be sure to catch the acrobatic and energetic performances of the sea lions. The Tropical Gardens are home to cockatoos, macaws, flamingos, iguanas, living in the jungle foliage and landscaping.

The Swim-With-Dolphins program that allows guests (ages 5 and up and minimum 48 inches tall ) to get in the water with these amazing marine mammals.


Shipwreck Island Water Park

No doubt about it- this is one of the best water parks in Florida. Beginning in March, the park is open Fridays and Saturdays. Then from Memorial Day through August the park is open seven days a week. For the daring, get ready for rushing water adventures. Whitewater enthusiasts..try the Rapid River Run. And for the bold there is the Top Drop, a a 65- foot free fall slide, with a plunge pool waiting at the end.

The Lazy River Ride offers a relaxing trek through the park along a 1,600 foot stream. Families will love the giant inner tube ride as they float down White knuckle River. The younger set will love the Tadpole Hole where they will discover a a submarine, a ship to explore, a giant purple frog slide and more just for tots.

Coconut Creek Fun park is open year round. The Park offers Minature Golf, and the Gran Maze. The Gran Maze that spans the length of a football field. Tickets must be validated at nautical checkpoints before clocking out at the exit.


Zoo World, Zoological & Botanical Conservatory

The 7.5 acre botanical gardens are home to more than 300 animals, including endangered animals. Snow leopards, monkeys, orangutans, other primates, bears, snakes and all kinds of reptiles are housed at ZooWorld. Sidney, the gentle giraffe, is waiting for children to feed him at the petting zoo. Open year-round.

Feeling Lucky...Love the races? Ebro Greyhound Park offers Simulcast Wagering year round on greyhound racing to thoroughbred racing. Live greyhound racing from mid January through mid December. Ebro features racing circuits from Calder, Gulf stream and Hialeah Park for thoroughbreds to greyhounds racing from Jacksonville and Tampa. Children are welcome.
Serving Prime rib and Seafood at private tables.


Museum of Man In The Sea

The museum houses cutting edge deep-dive gear and a comprehensive collection of historic underwater equipment that includes the earliest animal-skin bladder. The museum highlights the history of diving, early underwater relics and recovered shipwrecked treasures. Many originals in ocean exploration are among the scuba gear, submersibles, and commercial diving equipment on display.

Hours are 9 to 5, seven days a week. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
